Columbia University Medical Center

Courses and Research Experiences for Undergraduates

Faculty members in the department participate in the Columbia advanced undergraduate course Developmental and Systems Neuroscience (W3005y/W4005).

Numerous summer research opportunities for undergraduate students are provided in neuroscience labs. Columbia undergraduates may apply for positions through the Columbia SURF Program. Students from other institutions may apply to the Amgen Scholars Program, the SPURS Program for under-represented students from local colleges, the Summer Research Program, or by contacting faculty members directly with a statement of interest.

The undergraduate program in Neuroscience and Behavior is administered by the Department of Biological Sciences.
