The two syllabi that were developed several years ago for this course have evolved into two best-selling textbooks: Principles of Neural Science (4th ed.), edited by Eric R. Kandel, James H. Schwartz and Thomas Jessell; and Neuroanatomy: Text and Atlas (3rd ed.), by John H. Martin.
