Shadlen, MD, PhD, Neuroscience, received the 2017 Karl Spencer Lashley Award from the American Philosophical Society in recognition of his pioneering experimental and theoretical studies of decision-making, identifying neural mechanisms that accumulate and convert sensory information toward behavioral choices.
